Trout fishing in Neuquén

The small village of Aluminé, located just 2 hours from the Chapelco Airport of San Martín de los Andes, works as our headquarters. This town is known by fishermen around the world for its great variety of streams and rivers, which together, create an impressive natural framework for the practice of our favorite sport: fishing.

One of the most important advantages of this place is that it offers different alternatives, like a stream, a river, or a lake, in a range of 30 miles. We have everything fishermen need to minimize fishing risks. Among the most important rivers of the area we can mention Quillén, Pulmari, Ñorquinco and the lakes with the same names.

Fishing Methods: Floating, wading fishing, and floating with camp

FLOATING
Floating is possibly the most required fishing system. The program takes place in a segment of the river that has shown to be productive for fishermen. Our modern vessels are fully equipped and have all the necessary safety measures for demanding fishermen. According to the law, a guide can take no more than two fishermen per vessel. The guide commands the vessel and sets it in the current, giving both fishermen the right angle to start fishing. The guide offers beverages and contributes with his knowledge to make the fishing trip a pleasant experience. By lunch time, terrestrial support will have the hot meal ready. This meal consists of typical dishes cooked on the spot. If the access to land is complicated, the guide will have a simplified meal ready. The day ends with the afternoon fishing, which in many occasions is the most prolific time.

WADING FISHING
Wading fishing is, generally, for small rivers. In these cases, depending on the level of water, the day can include a visit to lagoons and streams that cannot be accessed by vessels. Wading fishing takes place in rivers like Quillén and Pulmari. In this way, fishermen can cover different spots. For this kind of fishing method, dry fly is suggested.

FLOATING WITH CAMP
This program takes place in a section of the Aluminé River called Pilolil-Malleo. This river segment cannot be accessed through land; it can only be accessed through water, with vessels. This program starts in January and goes to March, and even April, if the weather allows it. For this program, 3 complete days for fishing are suggested because more than 18 miles are covered each day and so, it is necessary to camp at nights.

THE LODGING
