Dove shooting in Córdoba
Over the last 10 years, the province of Cordoba has become the most popular destination in the world for dove hunting. Over 50 million doves reside in Cordoba Province and government studies show that the population is stable or growing. As a result, the season is open all year round, as doves are considered a pest and consume 20% or more of the local grain crops.

The hunting area is located northeast of the Cordoba city, and is characterized as an agricultural plain with many corn, wheat, sorghum, sunflower, and soy bean fields.

During harvest season, April to July, the morning hunting takes place in these grain fields. The afternoon hunting takes place in fields that are located on the way to the roost areas. During the roosting season, August through February, the birds are constantly moving to and from the roosting area. At this time of the year, hunters can expect to see several million birds each day, and the shooting opportunities are incredible.

Because there are incredible numbers of birds, hunters can choose many different kinds of shots to practice, and it is common to shoot 1,000 shells, or more, per day.

Patagonia's northern fishing zone lies on the foothills of the Andes in the Neuquen Province, including great lakes and rivers which have proved to be excellent areas for the spawning of salmons, due to an unique combination of abundant food and water qualities, set in a wonderful environment.
This region is responsible for making Argentine trout fishing famous around the world, which main feature is the number of rivers, tributaries and lakes plentiful in animal life and of special interest for the fly-cast fisherman.

Fishing season lasts from beginnings of November to ends of April, (some areas open till the 31st of May, when only catch & release is permitted). Best options are November and December or March and April, while January and February, (warmest period), guarantee very nice fishing, too.

There are some rivers and lakes where a certain number of fishes can be kept and regulations allow fly fishing, spinning & trolling modalities. Nevertheless, SYC SPORTING strongly encourages fly fishing and adheres to the principle of catch & release.

After lunch, and perhaps a siesta, you will head out for the afternoon shoot.
