Partridge hunting in Argentina
Walk up hunting over pointing or drathar dogs
In Argentina there are many partridges, called perdiz, in certain areas, like Santa Fe Province, Córdoba or Santiago del Estero. Partridge hunting takes place primarily in open pastures or cut alfalfa or cereal fields.
This is a beautiful form of bird hunting, which, like in the states, uses pointing dogs to locate and point the birds. English, German and Wirehaired Pointers, Breton and Braco pointing dogs are used in this sport. For partridge hunting we recommend 12 or 20 gauge over and under shotguns.
Without doubt, this is the ideal complementary hunting for dove, pigeons, or ducks. This allows the hunter a slow, relaxing hunt while enjoying the Argentine countryside, the beautiful dog work, the explosive flush and the challenging flight of the partridge.
Hunting season: May to August 15th.
